South Asian Stars Shine Bright at Coachella 2025: From Hanumankind to Indo Warehouse

Coachella 2025 showcased a remarkable array of South Asian talent, highlighting the festival’s commitment to global diversity. Among the standout performers was Kerala-born rapper Hanumankind, who captivated audiences with his dynamic stage presence and the viral hit “Big Dawgs,” a track that has solidified his position in the global hip-hop scene. 

The Indo Warehouse collective, featuring Kahani, Kunal Merchant, and Anvaya, transformed the desert stage into a vibrant celebration of South Asian culture, blending traditional rhythms like Bhangra and Garba with contemporary electronic beats. UK-based DJ Sammy Virji brought his unique fusion of garage and desi influences, delivering a set that resonated with both South Asian and international fans. Additionally, Indira Paganotto, with her roots in Goa’s rich musical heritage, offered a mesmerizing performance that combined psy-trance and techno, paying homage to her father’s legacy in the 1980s Goan music scene.  These artists not only entertained but also underscored the growing global appreciation for South Asian music and its diverse expressions.
