On March 14, 2025, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Sri Lanka (MMCA Sri Lanka) hosted an exclusive private viewing of ‘Total Landscaping’ – Rotation 3. This thought-provoking exhibition, featuring 29 contemporary artists, delved into the dynamic and contested transformations of land in Sri Lanka. With a focus on reshaping perceptions, the exhibition invited viewers to rethink their relationship with land, showcasing artworks that challenge traditional landscape representations. ‘Total Landscaping’ continues to spark conversations around the evolving narratives of land in Sri Lanka’s cultural and historical context.
