Renowned fashion designer Amilani Perera launched her highly anticipated new festive collection at the Amilani Perera Flagship Store in Colombo 05 on the 28th of March 2025. An exciting chapter for the brand as it expands internationally, with the recent inclusion of Amilani Perera as a member of the Australian Fashion Council.
The theme of this new collection celebrates Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage while reflecting the country’s evolving traditions and festivals. With a unique blend of local influences and global aesthetics, the collection draws inspiration from the country’s vibrant history, fusing traditional elements with contemporary design. Central to the collection is an innovative and vibrant print featuring an array of pastel shades, incorporating tropical Sri Lankan botanical elements, intertwined with motifs of seasonal foreign birds. In addition to the bold and artistic prints, the collection also showcases a range of draped silhouettes crafted from the beloved denim fabric. These innovative draping techniques drew significant attention at the launch event, praised for their originality, functionality, and contemporary flair. Amilani Perera’s latest collection highlights the designer’s commitment to blending traditional craft with modern design sensibilities, offering a unique perspective on Sri Lankan fashion.
