- Celine Dion Warns Fans About AI-Generated Songs Mimicking Her Voice
On March 7, 2025, Céline Dion’s team warned fans on Instagram about AI-generated songs falsely attributed to her. They emphasized that these recordings are, “fake and not approved,” clarifying they are not part of her official discography. Among the misleading tracks are a rendition of Heal Me Lord, a duet of I Will Always Love You with Whitney Houston, and a collaboration with Charlie Puth on See You Again. These AI-generated songs have deceived listeners into believing they are authentic Dion performances. This issue reflects broader concerns in the music industry about AI replicating artists’ voices without consent. In April 2024, over 200 artists, including Billie Eilish and Stevie Wonder, signed an open letter urging AI developers to stop misusing technology in ways that harm creative rights. Dion’s stance underscores the need to protect intellectual property and maintain authenticity in the evolving digital landscape.
